After achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Dance from the University of Montréal, Elsie followed her artistic instincts and migrated to the world of modern dance, basing her training on the Limon technique.
This naturally drew her to choreography and production, which she explored within the confines of her own dance laboratory; the Elsie Creative Dance Company. Finding in Mathieu Roy her perfect complement, Elsie is the Artistic director as well as the choreographer of LODP. She also ensures Productions services for the company.
Recognized for her world-class choreography expertise, Elsie brings a remarkable touch in many international productions, like her participation in Cirque du Soleil's exclusive show for the Québec City 400th anniversary celebrations.
Mathieu is a man of many talents, and is both an artistic visionary and an exceptional entrepreneur. From 1990 to 2000, Mathieu honed his skills as an artist, acrobat, trainer and rigger for the prestigious Cirque du Soleil where he gained great acclaim for his technical skills and performance artistry.
In 2000, Mathieu founded LODP along with Elsie Morin. He contributes many of the innovative ideas that are incorporated into the LODP routines and is responsible for the research and development behind the technical accomplishment of the trademark rotating vertical pole computerize, which is central to every LODP performance. Mathieu is the CEO and Marketing director of the company. |
